Wisconsin
International Outreach Conference
The
University of Wisconsin - Madison hosted a 3-day conference on
"Bringing the World Home: Toward a National Community
of International Outreach Educators" on May 2-4, 2002
at The Pyle Center.
Our
goal was to bring together a wide network of Title VI programs,
including National Resource Centers, Centers for International
Business and Language Resource Centers as well as non-Title VI
programs to discuss the challenges and issues of teaching about
the world in the 21st century.
About
190 persons attended the conference and participants expressed
their interest in continuing the networking they started during
the conference.
To
that effect, we are working on gathering all the participants'
contact information and a listing will be posted on the web very
soon. Other updates will include outreach reference URLs, photos
taken at the conference, papers of the presentations.
Please,
send us an email
with any suggestion you may have to keep this web site useful.
We
would like to thank all of you who attended the conference and
helped to make it a success.
